Counselling is the forming of a non-judgemental and confidential relationship between client and counsellor. Some people seek counselling because they want to discuss their thoughts, feelings and issues in their lives. People seek counselling for their self-development, to increase their confidence and an understanding of themselves. For some people counselling is a useful tool when they feel unable to cope.
In some cases counselling can make one feel more in control of the decisions that they make in their lives.
Counselling is non-directive, which means the client decides what issues to discuss, process and explore.
